About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with sales colleagues to provide technical leadership for new and existing opportunities
Apply the HPE Networking portfolio to sales campaigns and develop expertise in a specific discipline
Build trusted relationships with customer technical decision-makers
Understand customers’ business and technical needs and recommend suitable solutions within the competitive landscape
Collaborate with HPE Networking’s internal technical teams and Product Management to help guide product direction and share knowledge
Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the product lifecycle
Represent HPE Networking in national business associations, technical partner forums, and end-user communities
Support marketing activities by providing technical presales expertise
Deliver sales presentations, lead whiteboard technical design sessions, and conduct product demonstrations or seminars
Travel as needed and adapt to flexible working patterns

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree, preferably in computer engineering or a related field
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
Experience and knowledge in IT networking, including AIOps/management, routing, wireless, switching, and security
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
Ability to deliver sales presentations, lead whiteboard technical design sessions, and conduct product demonstrations or seminars
Ability to work independently, remotely, and collaboratively to achieve goals
Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible working patterns
Experience in a technical sales role is desirable or potential to acquire
Knowledge of HPE Aruba and Juniper networking and security products and technologies is desirable, but not essential
Understanding of public cloud, WAN technologies, secure data center, and campus network with enhanced security architectures
Understanding of NetOps/DevOps using tools such as Python, Ansible and MCP/LLM, as well as server, application, or container automation
Fluency in English and German language
