About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to partners and develop mutually beneficial relationships
  • Drive end-to-end HPE revenue, profitability, and pipeline through joint business plans and data-driven sales efforts
  • Articulate HPE global and local business strategies to sell with, to, and through partners
  • Develop knowledge of partner priorities, industry trends, IT landscape, investment strategy, HPE priorities, and technology
  • Coordinate HPE activities with partners, including sales cadence, education, marketing, executive briefings, forecasting, business planning, and client engagements
  • Drive HPE marketing strategy through customers
  • Implement HPE strategy, programs, and systems with and on behalf of partners
  • Tailor HPE products, services, and technology alliances to partner customer profiles and assigned quota
  • Recruit and develop relationships with new partners when needed
  • Monitor partner sales floors to help develop pipeline
  • Ensure partners understand and comply with HPE SBC requirements and applicable legal obligations
  • Travel approximately 50%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Typically 5+ years of selling experience
  • Solid experience in selling to partners desired
  • Awareness of current technology trends and related HPE strategy
  • Ability to influence partners and expand HPE business
  • Understanding of business and financial fundamentals
  • Understanding of HPE products and competitive positioning
  • Understanding of partner industry, trends, competitors, and channel
  • Understanding of partner relationships and needs
  • Understanding of financial accounting concepts, including income statements, balance sheets, and revenue projections
  • Ability to forecast sales quota and bridge sales gaps
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to innovate and take proactive steps to advance sales efforts
  • Expected travel of 50%
  • Ability to be based in Atlanta, Georgia or Virginia
