About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products in high-performance networking and security systems
Develop software for operating systems, network subsystems, routing engines, security modules, utilities, embedded platforms, and Internet-related tools
Determine hardware compatibility and influence hardware design for network interface and link layer protocols
Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for networking system software
Develop and maintain network interfaces, protocols, security functions, SoC SDKs, and drivers
Analyze design requirements and define coding and integration activities
Contribute to architectural reviews, test plans, verification protocols, and documentation
Debug issues, investigate complex field issues, and propose improvements through log-driven and system-level analysis
Collaborate with hardware, QA, system test, and customer-facing teams
Support sustaining engineering through maintenance and enhancement of existing features
Provide technical guidance and coordinate with team members and cross-functional partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems
5–8 years of experience in networking, embedded systems, or high-performance security platforms
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python
Strong experience working with switches, routers, and security systems
Experience developing software for multi-core embedded platforms, including network interfaces, protocol handling, and security processing
Strong understanding of OS internals, virtualization, computer architecture, and system-level debugging
Experience with Unix/Linux environments and hardware–software integration
Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including test plan execution and debugging tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively, mentor others, and contribute to a high-performance engineering culture
