About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a Systems Engineering organization supporting HPE Networking's strategic customers
  • Drive technical sales strategy and develop presales talent
  • Build executive-level relationships with customer technology and business stakeholders
  • Partner with Account Executives and Sales Leadership on account strategies, revenue growth, and market share expansion
  • Provide strategic guidance on networking, security, cloud, AI, automation, and infrastructure initiatives
  • Support executive briefings, customer workshops, and strategic planning sessions
  • Lead technical sales engagements for complex, multi-domain networking and infrastructure opportunities
  • Guide solution architecture, technical validation, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and competitive positioning
  • Align technical resources with priority opportunities and customer objectives
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to address customer requirements and influence product direction
  • Manage technical opportunity pipelines, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Improve Systems Engineering productivity, coverage, and program consistency
  • Monitor telecommunications industry competitive activity and market trends
  • Partner with channel organizations and strategic partners to expand market opportunities
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain technical talent and develop succession plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in networking, telecommunications, infrastructure, or cloud technologies
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing Systems Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Presales organizations
  • Success supporting large telecommunications providers, preferably service providers or comparable Tier 1 service providers
  • Experience leading geographically distributed technical teams
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders and participate in strategic customer engagements
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, telecom architectures, cloud networking, security, automation, and AI-driven infrastructure solutions
  • Track record supporting large-scale, complex sales opportunities and driving business results
  • University or Bachelor's degree
  • Strong expertise in Juniper networking technologies and carrier-class networking environments
  • Experience with service provider architectures, WAN, routing, switching, SD-WAN, security, and network automation
  • Expertise in service provider networking, including MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, and IS-IS
  • Expertise in data center networking, including EVPN/VXLAN and leaf-spine
  • Knowledge of AI-powered networking and cloud-native network operations
  • Experience working within matrixed global organizations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
