About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a group of public-sector presales professionals across technical consulting and enterprise architecture functions
  • Set direction, manage deliverables, and achieve revenue and expense objectives
  • Resolve customer problems and contribute to customer satisfaction
  • Represent the assigned area to sales and company management
  • Build strategic executive relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders
  • Partner with internal and external resources to develop solutions for customers
  • Manage individual and team performance and develop organizational talent
  • Direct presales operations and translate business goals into presales utilization plans
  • Address regional presales coverage gaps and allocate technical expertise to win opportunities
  • Partner with sales and account planning to drive sales strategy and optimize presales support
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve operations
  • Coach teams on consultative, financial, and strategic selling for complex enterprise IT solutions
  • Build business cases linking proposals to customer goals, strategies, and metrics
  • Support innovation, change management, and remote team collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced or Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in sales
  • Directly related management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing progressively higher quota or other sales-related goals
  • Demonstrated results managing resources to support complex, strategic sales and/or business objectives
  • Business management skills, including strategic planning/execution, forecast/budget control, operations building/improvement, resource allocation, and complex process management
  • Strategic account support and negotiation skills with the company and C-level clients
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to develop strong executive-level relationships
  • Consultative, solution selling and business development skills
  • Business case development skills
  • Workforce planning, career planning and development, and workforce management
