About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a group of presales professionals in the Public Sector division across presales functions including Technical Consultant, Technical Client Consultant, and Enterprise Architect
  • Set direction, manage deliverables, and achieve revenue and expense objectives
  • Resolve customer problems and contribute to customer satisfaction
  • Represent the assigned area to sales and company management
  • Build strategic executive relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders
  • Partner with internal and external resources to develop best-in-class customer solutions
  • Manage individual and team performance and develop organizational talent
  • Direct overall presales operations and translate business goals into presales utilization plans
  • Address regional presales coverage gaps and allocate technical expertise to win opportunities
  • Partner with Sales and account planning to drive sales strategy and manage presales resources
  • Monitor and improve operations, business practices, and organizational performance
  • Coach teams on consultative, financial, and strategic selling for complex enterprise IT solutions
  • Develop business cases linking proposals to customer goals, strategies, and business metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or Bachelor's degree required; advanced or Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in sales
  • Directly related management experience
  • Demonstrated success managing progressively higher quota or other sales-related goals
  • Demonstrated results managing resources for complex, strategic sales and/or business objectives
  • Business management skills, including strategic planning/execution, forecast/budget control, operations improvement, resource allocation, and complex process management
  • Strategic account support and negotiation skills with the company and C-level clients
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to develop strong executive-level relationships
  • Consultative, solution selling, and business development skills
  • Business case development skills
