About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive technical enablement and solution design with strategic partner ecosystems
- Work directly with partners to architect and implement complex solutions
- Guide partners through deployments and ensure successful customer outcomes across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Serve as the technical bridge between HPE and partners
- Partner with local sales and pre-sales technical teams to drive the technical sales process
- Deliver in-depth technical presentations
- Work through complex Proofs of Concept
- Kick off initial software implementations
- Connect field customers with development teams
- Communicate customer and prospect feedback to Product and Development teams to influence the product roadmap
- Understand the IT Operations market, competitive landscape, and cloud-native market
- Become a trusted advisor for customers in large, complex technical environments
- Deliver compelling demonstrations and presentations
- Understand customer environments and deliver Proofs of Concept and initial software implementations
- Provide technical and business value through enablement, whiteboard discussions, demonstrations, proof of value, and post-sales support as needed
- Collaborate with resellers to drive deals and leverage partner capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of Solution Architecture experience
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, and other container technologies
- Ability to design implementation architectures
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, and network security
- Experience with SDN, network virtualization, overlays/underlays, VXLAN/EVPN, and network automation
- Working knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure
- Programming skills in Java, Python, PHP, JSON, NodeJS, JavaScript, or similar
- Understanding of network security, segmentation, Zero Trust, and observability
- Ability to troubleshoot and explain complex technical architectures
- Strong presentation, whiteboarding, demonstration, and customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to lead technical POCs and work effectively across sales and technical teams
- Strong consultative selling and business-value communication skills
- Experience with Kubernetes/container networking preferred
- Experience with AIOps, AI-driven network operations, or agentic automation preferred
- Familiarity with MCP and AI/LLM-based infrastructure management preferred
- Enterprise pre-sales, sales engineering, or solutions architecture experience preferred
- IT Operations Management experience preferred
- Relevant networking or cloud certifications preferred
- Intermediate written and verbal communication skills in English and applicable local languages as needed
- Intermediate business and financial acumen
- Ability to deliver live product, solution, tool, or service demonstrations
- Knowledge of partner offerings, channel programs, and go-to-market approaches
- Understanding of VLANs, basic routing, and virtual switching concepts
