About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, analyze, develop, modify, and test diagnostics, firmware, simulators, and emulators for HPE Slingshot high-performance networking ASICs and boards
- Contribute to product definition, implementation, and bring-up of NIC and switch diagnostics and firmware
- Work closely with ASIC, board, and software teams in a cross-functional, multi-site Agile environment
- Provide technical expertise across all stages of design, development, and testing for complex products, solutions, and platforms
- Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards
- Provide feedback to improve product quality
- Contribute to architecture design and platform leadership for cross-organization projects and programs
- Lead project teams of engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
- Develop reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for prototypes and products
- Guide and mentor less experienced staff members
- Participate in selecting future technical leaders
- Drive innovation and integrate new technologies into ASIC firmware, diagnostics, simulation, and emulation projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 6+ years of experience in ASIC diagnostics or silicon validation
- Expert C programming and Python in a Linux environment
- At least 5 years of industry experience with C and Python in Linux
- Expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working-level knowledge of NIC, Ethernet, and SerDes development and debugging
- Working-level knowledge of Linux drivers
- Working-level knowledge of switch development and debugging
- Working-level knowledge of software programming and scripting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mastery in English
