About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join HPE’s Service Delivery organization as a resident engineer
Support MX and Routing Director platforms in a large-scale service provider environment
Assist customers with network deployment planning
Develop implementation plans
Perform solution testing
Collaborate with resident engineers, internal teams, and customers
Develop deep product knowledge and serve as the customer’s primary point of contact for operational issues
Engage Juniper Technical Assistance Centers on resolutions
Open cases, provide requested data, perform advanced troubleshooting, and document information
Communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analysis
Support formal and informal technology briefings and training sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly clearance required
US Citizenship required
Deep understanding of routing and switching technologies, including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, pseudowires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS TE, routing policies, GRE, and VXLAN
Experience supporting Juniper MX and Routing Director platforms
Engineering design, operational, and support experience in a large-scale ISP environment
Mastery of WAN transport topologies and methodologies
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and network problems and manage JTAC cases through resolution
Ability to communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analysis
Ability to support technology briefings and training sessions
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to prioritize work to achieve customer and account team goals
Juniper or other vendor certifications are a strong plus
Automation and DevOps knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of XML API, NETCONF, REST API, gRPC, Python, RPCs, PyEZ, ncclient, Ansible, Playbooks, Jinja2, Python, and SLAX is a plus
