About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support MX and Routing Director platforms in a large-scale service provider environment
Assist customers with network deployment planning
Develop implementation plans
Perform solution testing
Collaborate with resident engineers, internal teams, and customers
Develop deep product knowledge
Act as the customer’s primary point of contact for operational issues
Engage Juniper Technical Assistance Centers for issue resolution
Open cases, provide requested data, perform advanced troubleshooting, and document resolutions
Communicate case status and deliver root cause analyses
Support formal and informal technology briefings and training sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly required
US Citizenship required
Engineering design, operational, and support experience in a large-scale ISP environment
Deep understanding of data center routing and switching technologies, including EVPN, Multicast, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, pseudowires, L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS TE, routing policies, GRE, and VXLAN
Experience supporting Juniper MX and Routing Director platforms
Mastery of WAN transport topologies and methodologies
Ability to troubleshoot network and equipment problems and manage JTAC cases through resolution
Ability to provide case status updates and root cause analyses
Ability to support technology briefings and training sessions
Juniper or other vendor certifications are a plus
Automation and DevOps knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of XML API, NETCONF, REST API, and gRPC
Python tools experience, including RPCs, REST, PyEZ, and ncclient
Ansible playbooks and Jinja2 templates
Automation scripting with Commit, Op, Event, or SNMP scripts; Python and SLAX
