About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead pre-sales technical engagements, including solution design, architecture, and positioning of networking and security solutions
- Partner with sales teams, customers, and ecosystem partners to align technical strategies with business outcomes
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements
- Develop and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
- Build and maintain relationships with customer technical stakeholders and decision-makers
- Provide enablement, training, and technical guidance to partners and customer engineering teams
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies
- Translate customer business needs into differentiated technical solutions for HPE Networking
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role (Sales Engineer / Systems Engineer)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Juniper networking solutions across routing, switching, and/or security domains
- Deep expertise in enterprise networking, including IGPs, BGP, Layer 2/3 VPNs, MPLS, traffic engineering, EVPN/VXLAN, fabric architectures, NGFW, IPSec, and DDoS protection
- Proven experience designing and consulting on network architectures, including bills of materials and implementation strategies
- Experience implementing enterprise-scale campus, branch, and/or data center networks
- Strong customer-facing experience, including technical presentations, whiteboarding, and executive-level engagement
- Experience supporting pre-sales cycles, solution positioning, proposal development, and competitive differentiation
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply them in customer environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical and business stakeholders
- Candidates must reside near a major U.S. airport on either coast to support customer travel
