About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the overall account lead and single point of contact for numerous large named accounts in the assigned DC/VA/MD territory
  • Understand client business and IT challenges and drive customer value while maximizing company revenue and margin
  • Build growth opportunities using the account planning process and manage scheduled reviews and updates
  • Work extensively with external partners to deliver solution sales
  • Spend significant time directly with customers across functions and organizational levels
  • Develop business plans with customers
  • Apply consultative-selling techniques to advance opportunities and generate profitable revenue growth
  • Maintain customer loyalty, trust, and integrity
  • Achieve and manage quarterly, half-yearly, and annual quota and/or margin
  • Enter opportunities in the pipeline tool and update them weekly
  • Implement pipeline management and margin recovery strategies
  • Act as first interface for international accounts in collaboration with global and local teams
  • Identify customer requirements, match them with company capabilities, and select the appropriate supply chain

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or Bachelor's degree
  • Typically 8–12 years of relevant experience
  • Industry experience required
  • Experience in product specialties including computers, printers, servers, and storage
  • Detailed knowledge of key customer types or customers for given products
  • Expert-level sales knowledge and consultative-selling experience
  • Leadership and cross-functional expertise
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple internal and external partners
  • Customer relationship-building experience at management and executive levels
  • Advanced sales negotiation and deal-closing skills
  • Expertise managing end-to-end sales processes in large deals
