About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products
  • Develop software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools
  • Determine hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design
  • Lead multiple project teams and internal and outsourced development partners through solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration
  • Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
  • Provide feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk
  • Provide domain-specific expertise and software systems leadership to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 8+ years software development experience
  • Strong system programming background with C/C++ for enterprise-class software
  • Proficiency with data structures, algorithms, and multi-threaded programming
  • Proficiency debugging issues in multi-threaded and clustered environments
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems internals
  • Prior experience in data path for high-performance storage systems, distributed file systems, storage systems, high-availability clusters, memory management, performance tuning, and/or modeling highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mastery in English and local language
  • Ability to communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels
