Key responsibilities & impact

Provide deep technical expertise for hardware, software, or services in proposals designed to meet customers’ business needs
Create and maintain effective customer relationships to secure customer satisfaction
Maintain awareness of company portfolio offerings across hardware, software, services, and everything as a service
Develop knowledge of adjacent, leading-edge, and emerging technologies
Guide customers on migrating and integrating technologies in new or existing environments
Participate in deep-dive discussions to gather customer technical needs
Assess customers’ current IT infrastructure and translate technical requirements into implementation views
Architect overall technical solutions and define technical alternatives and shortcomings
Collaborate with account teams and company organizations on value propositions and negotiation points
Deliver presentations linking technical features to tangible business benefits
Protect and expand HPE’s customer footprint through new technologies, upgrades, and refreshes
Develop strategies to counter competitive threats
Maintain accurate pipeline information and advance opportunities toward close
Facilitate the transition from sales to implementation
Orient implementation teams to the technical solution design and identify training needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of selling experience with a major storage company (Dell/EMC, Pure, NetApp)
4+ years of Data/Cyber Resiliency experience
Deep understanding of data protection, ransomware security, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery
Zerto, Cohesity, and Veeam knowledge required
4+ years of Data fabric experience
Understanding of Enterprise Storage technology
4+ years of Single Plane Data management experience
Experience solving problems
Experience driving positive business outcomes for customers
Ability to articulate and showcase solution architect experience
Experience with data services and storage related to AI is a plus
Deep hands-on technical expertise in pitching, demoing, and architecting complex solutions
Demonstrable knowledge in virtualization and at least 2 application stacks such as MSSQL, Oracle, or SAP
Working knowledge of one major public cloud: Amazon, Azure, or Google
Certifications preferred for public cloud experience
Expertise in selling complete data lifecycle management portfolios
Deep competitive knowledge of at least 1 major storage vendor
Demonstrable technical knowledge of the storage industry and major trends
Deep expertise in at least one major vertical such as FSI, manufacturing, or Healthcare preferred
Self-starter able to ramp quickly
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or from a technical university
Deep technical skills in assigned area of specialization
Good knowledge of company offerings, strategic initiatives, trends, and competitor products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and mastery of English and local languages
Excellent consultative selling techniques
Knowledge of company business, technical tools, and standard CRM systems and tools
Working knowledge and usage of social media, blogging, and related information-sharing technologies
Solid knowledge of partner offerings and collaboration methods
Industry certifications strongly preferred
Solid project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong business and financial acumen
Experience participating in solution configurations and creation of PoCs
Ability to work in the United States
