About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and drive the end-to-end strategy and operational product roadmap for one or more products
- Define value propositions, target customer segments, and business cases for innovative products
- Consider product configuration mix, revenue/margins, financials, and market share
- Synthesize market requirements into marketing and customer details using customer, business, financial, and industry knowledge
- Advise stakeholders on portfolio strategy across planning, development, launch, management, and exit phases
- Create and drive goal alignment across value-chain partners
- Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Marketing to optimize margins and enable product success
- Design, plan, develop, and manage service and support products throughout their lifecycle
- Provide expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field of study
- 6+ years of work experience in Product Line Management
- 6+ years of work experience in technical service and support
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
- Expert team skills and ability to cross-functionally drive/influence work through others
- Ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects
- Expert skills in cost-efficient solution building
- Financial performance metric creation and analysis
- Expert business acumen
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection
- Ability to provide product-specific technical training to the team
- Must reside in the Dallas, Houston, or Raleigh/Durham area
