About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive sales of storage products and solutions in assigned territory, industry, or accounts
  • Act as the primary storage subject matter expert for HPE products and related solutions
  • Create and drive the storage sales pipeline and manage leads through follow-up
  • Identify new business and solution opportunities in acquisition and development accounts
  • Collaborate with account pursuit teams, account managers, Presales, channel partners, and other stakeholders
  • Build sales readiness through storage knowledge transfer
  • Maintain pipeline hygiene, account plans, and internal sales tools
  • Assess technical and business feasibility to qualify opportunities
  • Negotiate and drive profitable deals through successful closure
  • Establish consultative relationships with mid-to-large-account clients, including C-level stakeholders
  • Position HPE products and services using competitor and industry knowledge
  • Forge channel relationships, enable partners, and co-sell to end users
  • Lead and coordinate storage marketing campaigns
  • Advise customers and partners on HPE storage strategy and portfolio
  • Illustrate ROI and TCO advantages of HPE offerings
  • Cultivate customer relationships for account retention and growth
  • Support deal closure with internal stakeholders and channel partners
  • Orchestrate regional pursuit resources and coordinate external partners
  • May perform project management responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of sales experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience to the Federal Government
  • 2+ years of experience in storage sales
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota
  • Experience interfacing with diverse business customers at all levels
  • Extensive vertical industry knowledge
  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Expertise in storage, cloud, solution, or service offerings and competitor offerings
  • Knowledge of industry trends, partner/ISV solutions, and traditional and emerging vendors
  • Knowledge of end-to-end data solutions and HPE storage portfolio
  • Understanding of business models of service providers
  • Advanced financial acumen
  • Knowledge of IT applications, maintenance, budgets, objectives, measures, and metrics
  • Understanding and application of program/project management methods and processes
  • Ability to engage and map partners to storage-related opportunities
  • Must be able to work with Federal Government accounts in Colorado, Alabama, or Virginia
