About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive sales of storage products and solutions in assigned territories, industries, or accounts
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for storage and related products
  • Create and drive the storage sales pipeline and manage leads
  • Identify new business and solution opportunities in acquisition and development accounts
  • Collaborate with account pursuit teams, account managers, Presales, channel partners, and HPE teams
  • Build sales readiness and transfer storage knowledge to reduce client learning curves
  • Develop quota objectives and contribute to the future direction of storage product lines
  • Maintain pipeline hygiene, account plans, and internal sales tools
  • Assess solution feasibility and qualify opportunities in or out
  • Negotiate and close profitable storage deals
  • Establish consultative relationships with clients, including C-level stakeholders
  • Position HPE products and services using competitor and industry knowledge
  • Forge channel relationships, enable key technologies, and co-sell to end users
  • Lead and coordinate storage marketing campaigns
  • Act as a trusted storage solutions consultant for assigned accounts or regions
  • Articulate HPE strategy and portfolio to partners and champions to uncover new opportunities
  • Link business and financial benefits to technology offerings and illustrate ROI and TCO advantages
  • Cultivate customer relationships for account retention and growth
  • Support deal closure with internal stakeholders and channel partners
  • Orchestrate regional pursuit resources and coordinate external partners
  • May perform project management responsibilities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US citizenship required
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance required at time of application
  • 6+ years of sales experience
  • 3+ years of sales experience to the Intelligence Community
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota and experience interfacing with diverse business customers at all levels
  • 2–3+ years of experience in storage sales
  • Extensive vertical industry knowledge
  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Expertise in storage, cloud, solution, or service offerings and competitor offerings
  • Knowledge of industry trends, partner/ISV solutions, traditional and emerging vendors
  • Advanced financial acumen
  • Understanding and application of program/project management methods and processes
  • Ability to engage and sell to service providers
  • Ability to map partner skills to storage-related opportunities
