About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for storage and related products
  • Drive storage sales in assigned territories, industries, and accounts
  • Hunt for solution opportunities and generate new business
  • Create and drive the storage sales pipeline and manage leads
  • Collaborate with account pursuit teams, account managers, presales, channel partners, and other stakeholders
  • Build sales readiness through knowledge transfer in storage
  • Contribute to quota objectives and future direction for storage product lines
  • Maintain pipeline hygiene, account plans, and internal sales tools
  • Assess solution feasibility and qualify opportunities
  • Negotiate and drive profitable deals through closure
  • Establish consultative relationships with clients, including C-level stakeholders
  • Position HPE products and services using competitor and industry knowledge
  • Lead and coordinate storage marketing campaigns
  • Act as a trusted storage solutions consultant for assigned accounts or region
  • Articulate HPE strategy and portfolio to partners and uncover new business opportunities
  • Link business and financial benefits to technology offerings and illustrate ROI and TCO advantages
  • Cultivate customer relationships for account retention and growth
  • Orchestrate regional pursuit resources and coordinate external partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance at time of application
  • 6+ years of sales experience
  • 3+ years of sales experience to the Intelligence Community
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota and ability to interface with diverse business customers at all levels
  • 2–3+ years of storage sales experience
  • Extensive vertical industry knowledge
  • Expertise in storage, cloud, solution, or service offerings and competitor offerings
  • Deep expertise in end-to-end data solutions leveraging the HPE storage portfolio and partner ecosystem
  • Advanced financial acumen
  • Understanding of program/project management methods and processes
  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred
