Key responsibilities & impact

Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software
Analyze designs and determine coding, programming, and integration activities based on product or solution architecture
Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation
Identify and debug code and integration issues and create solutions
Lead project teams of software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners
Develop reliable, cost effective, and high quality solutions for assigned systems portions or subsystems
Collaborate with management, internal teams, and outsourced development partners on software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution
Represent the software systems engineering team in larger and more complex development projects
Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
Typically 6-8 years experience
Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
Strong C programming experience and Linux scripting skills
Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages
Understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types
Experience evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology
Experience writing and executing test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Mastery in English and local language
Ability to communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels
Knowledge of Linux Kernel development is a strong advantage
Knowledge of InfiniBand and programming with RDMA Verbs is a strong advantage
Background in embedded system architecture/design and code is a strong advantage
Knowledge of protocol analysis, network analysers, packet capture devices, or Wireshark is a strong advantage
Understanding of operating system concepts and system fabric messaging concepts is a strong advantage
