About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as account lead and single point of contact for named enterprise accounts in an assigned territory
- Understand customer business and IT challenges and connect them to HPE Networking outcomes
- Grow base business, land new logos, and drive complex solution sales across the HPE Networking portfolio
- Build and maintain account plans with scheduled reviews and updates
- Develop business plans with customers across functions and buyer levels, including management and executives
- Manage relationships with channel partners including WWT, CDW, SHI, and DataVizion
- Use consultative selling to identify and advance profitable opportunities
- Build customer trust and loyalty to drive renewals and expansion
- Own quarterly, half-year, and annual sales targets
- Maintain a clean, weekly-updated pipeline using MEDDPICC discipline
- Match customer requirements to HPE capabilities and select direct or channel routes to market
- Coordinate accounts spanning geographies with global and local teams
- Lead functional deal teams and engage specialists as needed
- Represent HPE to customers up to and including the C-suite
- Build and execute local brand awareness campaigns via social and marketing
Requirements
What you’ll need- University or Bachelor's degree
- Roughly 5 to 10 years in enterprise or large-account sales, ideally in networking, infrastructure, or an adjacent technology space
- Track record navigating politics of large, complex accounts
- Experience selling with and through channel partners
- Networking or networking-adjacent product knowledge, or ability to quickly learn a new technical space
- Industry experience and ability to speak credibly to enterprise IT leaders
- Reside near Springfield, Missouri preferred
- Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts, VLANs, routing, and fabric basics
- Ability to prioritize and tier accounts across a large territory
- Advanced negotiation and closing skills
- Command of HPE Networking portfolio, including Aruba, Juniper, Mist, GreenLake, HPE Financial, and Services
- Ability to translate customer business issues into HPE solutions
- Competitive selling experience, especially against Cisco and Arista
