About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as account lead and single point of contact for named enterprise accounts in an assigned territory
  • Own customer relationships from initial engagement through ongoing growth
  • Understand customer business and IT challenges and connect them to HPE Networking outcomes
  • Grow base business, land new logos, and drive complex solution sales across the HPE Networking portfolio
  • Work with presales engineers, inside sales, and channel partners
  • Build and maintain disciplined account plans with scheduled reviews and updates
  • Develop business plans collaboratively with customers
  • Spend significant time with customers and channel partners, including management and executive-level buyers
  • Use consultative selling to identify and advance opportunities
  • Build customer trust and loyalty to drive renewals and expansion
  • Own quarterly, half-year, and annual sales targets
  • Maintain a clean, weekly-updated pipeline using MEDDPICC discipline
  • Match customer requirements to HPE capabilities and select direct or channel routes to market
  • Coordinate accounts spanning geographies with global and local teams
  • Lead functional deal teams and involve appropriate specialists
  • Represent HPE to customers up to the C-suite

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University or Bachelor's degree
  • Roughly 5 to 10 years in enterprise or large-account sales, ideally in networking, infrastructure, or an adjacent technology space
  • Track record navigating politics of large, complex accounts
  • Experience selling with and through channel partners
  • Networking or networking-adjacent product knowledge, or ability to quickly learn a new technical space
  • Industry experience and ability to speak credibly to enterprise IT leaders
  • Reside near Springfield, Missouri (preferred)
  • Leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Time management skills
  • Executive relationship-building skills
  • Partner relationship management
  • Advanced negotiation and closing skills
  • Knowledge of HPE Networking portfolio, including Aruba, Juniper, Mist, GreenLake, HPE Financial, and Services
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts, VLANs, routing, and fabric basics
  • Competitive selling experience, especially against Cisco and Arista
  • Ability to translate customer business issues into HPE solutions
  • Ability to build and execute local brand awareness campaigns via social and marketing
