About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive profitable growth across Hexcel’s Industrial business in the Americas, with a strong focus on the U.S. market
- Manage strategic Automotive accounts and the Industrial Distribution network
- Support growth opportunities in emerging New Space and Defense markets, including small satellites and unmanned aerial systems (UAS)
- Develop and maintain relationships with key Industrial customers, Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and the Distribution network
- Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
- Manage customer accounts through account and engagement plans, opportunity management, contract negotiations, customer satisfaction, receivables, forecasting, and issue escalation
- Achieve annual sales targets and negotiate long-term supply agreements
- Serve as the voice of the customer and work with cross-functional teams on account strategies and customer commitments
- Coordinate commercial and technical proposals with Product Management, Technical Support, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D
- Partner with Technical Engineering Support and R&T teams to develop products and solutions for challenging customer applications
- Lead customer and sales initiatives involving internal stakeholders, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and partners across geographic regions
- Provide internal reporting and tailor communications for virtual, written, and face-to-face interactions
- Build internal and external relationships to identify opportunities and support long-term business growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in STEM
- 5+ years of experience in field sales, key account management, business development, or a related customer-facing commercial role
- Demonstrated direct customer selling and relationship-management experience
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic customer relationships
- Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, hands-on, collaborative approach with strong results orientation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with MRP/ERP systems
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25%
- Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum
- Sales or account-management experience within Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Advanced Materials, Composites, or other engineered-product industries
- Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and/or distribution channels
- Knowledge of composite materials and composite manufacturing processes
- Experience negotiating long-term supply agreements and managing complex technical or commercial accounts
- Conversational proficiency in an additional language, particularly Spanish, German, or Japanese
- Demonstrated interest in professional growth and taking on expanded responsibilities
