About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain relationships with Midstream Operations leadership and stakeholders across operational functions.
  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for Midstream Operations, connecting business priorities with IT strategy, architecture, cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, data, and project delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain Midstream technology roadmaps supporting reliability, safety, compliance, asset integrity, field productivity, commercial processes, and data-driven decision making.
  • Gather, clarify, and prioritize business needs through demand management.
  • Translate Midstream business requirements into practical technology solutions with Business Analysts, Enterprise Architects, Solution Owners, and delivery teams.
  • Provide strategic consulting and delivery oversight for cross-functional initiatives involving pipeline and terminal operations, field mobility, asset management, work management, measurement, logistics, commercial systems, analytics, and operational data platforms.
  • Promote solutions that improve safety, reliability, compliance, operational visibility, and decision making.
  • Support business case development by defining benefits, costs, risks, scope, adoption needs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Communicate IT priorities, project status, risks, dependencies, and service impacts to stakeholders.
  • Manage business expectations regarding IT resources, delivery timelines, support models, cybersecurity, and governance.
  • Coordinate IT and business teams to support system availability, reliability, security, data integrity, and operational continuity.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage enterprise platforms, innovative technologies, and process standardization.
  • Maintain awareness of Midstream industry trends, operational technology, automation, data and analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, regulatory drivers, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote a business-focused, results-oriented IT culture emphasizing service, partnership, practical delivery, and measurable business value.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10 plus years of IT experience or relevant industry expertise supporting operations, logistics, commercial, asset management, maintenance, reliability, EHS, or related functions is required.
  • History partnering with operational business leaders to translate business needs into technology roadmaps, demand, projects, and measurable outcomes is required.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise business systems supporting work management, procurement, finance, logistics, inventory, maintenance, or commercial processes is required.
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders, aligning priorities, and communicating technology concepts to non-technical business audiences is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Strong business relationship management, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand Midstream operational processes and connect them to technology capabilities, risks, and value opportunities.
  • Project, program, or product management experience supporting medium to large industrial initiatives.
  • Ability to align enterprise standards with practical field and operational needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify technical topics for business audiences.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting Midstream, pipeline, terminal, transportation, logistics, measurement, or related energy operations.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with SCADA, terminal automation, measurement, scheduling, order-to-cash, GIS, field mobility, asset management, work management, analytics, and operational data platforms.
  • Highly preferred: Financial acumen to support business case creation, prioritization, benefit tracking, and value measurement.
  • Ability to work across corporate, field, and remote teams, including suppliers, partners, and internal IT delivery organizations.
