About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and courteous service to clients, producers, and company personnel
  • Plan, design, and implement appropriate insurance programs for clients
  • Maintain knowledge of carrier developments and Federal/State laws affecting clients
  • Consult, inform, and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, exposures, and audit procedures
  • Provide technical coverage and proposal support to Producers
  • Investigate, prepare, and submit proposals and applications; obtain signatures and follow up on responses
  • Prepare insurance schedules and proposals for account reviews
  • Remarket accounts, contact clients, follow up with producers, and renew policies
  • Manage priorities and workflow for efficient, timely, and accurate transaction processing
  • Handle complaints, disputes, and grievances with producers
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, producers, and insurance carriers
  • Seek referrals and develop new accounts
  • Mentor and guide Customer Service Representatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 (+) years of previous experience in commercial insurance
  • Active General Lines or Property & Casualty License required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Applied Epic experience preferred, or knowledge of a similar Account Management System (AMS) is acceptable
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
  • Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, and 10-key
  • Walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions
