About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders across California and the Western United States
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational design
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, investigations, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution
  • Support and influence business decisions through workforce analytics, HR insights, and practical problem-solving
  • Lead change management initiatives and support business transformation efforts
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong focus on California employment practices
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and regional leadership to implement HR programs that improve business outcomes and employee experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner or Employee Relations experience
  • Active U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance required
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and multi-state HR practices
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence leaders at all levels
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, consulting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, consulting, professional services, or project-based organizations preferred
  • Experience with workforce analytics, compensation, talent management, and organizational development preferred
  • Willingness to travel throughout the West Region as business needs require preferred
