About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Intermediary Agents Sales Team responsible for global intermediary agents
- Grow high-value and high-potential share-of-wallet accounts for Hilton in German-speaking countries and Nordic countries across Hilton’s global hotels
- Manage global and regional team performance
- Create and communicate team, account, and segment strategies to increase market share and demonstrate value to internal and external customers
- Track travel trends and apply them through a global approach
- Enhance Hilton culture and foster team development
- Manage customer and internal stakeholder relationships
- Implement projects designed to increase market share
- Set aligned team objectives and establish measurement systems for targeted accounts
- Ensure sales team members are trained and equipped to sell all brands across transient and group segments
- Review performance, recognize success, and manage performance when targets are missed
- Monitor annual sales incentive programs and cross-functional relationships
- Direct team development, work priorities, coaching, communication, and leadership
- Review account plans quarterly and organize weekly team calls and monthly team meetings
- Implement Salesforce and system controls to achieve objectives
- Translate goals into performance standards, assess performance, and take corrective action
- Manage policies, budgets, resources, ROI, customer information, management reports, and account penetration opportunities
- Control trade show and road show activity and ROI
- Support Hilton openings and key account management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent communication skills in presentations, writing, and public speaking
- Ability to direct collaboration among cross-functional teams, including external resources
- Ability to articulate a corporate sales vision and translate it into practical actions
- Self-reliance and ability to work with minimal control and direction
- Initiative to identify, prioritize, and implement actions required to achieve functional goals
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide development, mentoring, and coaching
- Budget development and management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage others
- Ability to deliver performance feedback to subordinates
- Understanding of clients’ businesses and categories, including business plans, competitive environments, distribution channels, and product financials
- University degree at bachelor level or experience in lieu thereof
- Significant work experience, including management experience
- Experience working in multicultural or international settings
- Fluency in spoken and written German
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Solid sales experience within the hospitality industry and across multiple sales-influenced segments
- Advanced degree preferred
- Other languages are a plus
- Established relationships with existing HWS key customers preferred
