About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead research, documentation, development, and measurement of data science models in testing and production environments
Communicate data-driven information to stakeholders to support roadmap definition and decision making
Design and implement enterprise-scale data science applications
Write production-grade code and build maintainable machine learning workflows
Monitor technical developments and industry state-of-the-art research to develop innovative data science solutions
Collaborate with business, engineering, and technology teams to understand Hilton data and business context
Design and deploy scalable data science pipelines and applications in production
Partner with teams to access data, understand analyzed data, and identify data ingestion improvement opportunities
Own research and development of models and algorithms for forecasting, pricing, inventory management, supply chain management, content, and personalization
Report to the Director of Data Science

Requirements

What you’ll need

Two (2) years of professional experience developing and deploying machine learning or data science solutions
Two (2) years of professional experience researching, building, implementing, testing, and measuring performance of data science models in production
Experience writing production quality software
Experience with modern software development practices including CI/CD pipelines, version control, code review, and containerized applications
Proficient in SQL and Python, including data science Python packages such as Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Prophet, LightGBM, and TensorFlow/PyTorch
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is useful
Experience building large-scale data science applications, high-volume data pipelines, application architecture, API framework and tooling, and deploying in AWS, Azure, or GCP is useful
Experience with LLMs, retrieval systems, or generative AI applications is useful
Familiarity with the hospitality industry is useful
