About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review the income tax impact of development deals
  • Manage external consultants to validate the accuracy and completeness of tax planning projects
  • Work with international colleagues on cross-border tax planning initiatives and strategic projects
  • Provide tax-related guidance to Treasury, Development, Legal, Operations Finance, and Owner Relations teams
  • Coordinate with domestic and international tax reporting and compliance teams to align and implement tax planning initiatives
  • Work with the Senior Director of Tax Forecasting on international tax modeling
  • Review legal agreements to identify optimal tax planning considerations for development initiatives
  • Review international tax modeling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Five (5) consecutive years of professional experience in tax
  • Three (3) years of experience performing detailed reviews
  • Experience using MS Excel
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Certified Public Accountant (useful, not required)
  • Proficiency in corporate financial systems such as PeopleSoft and FCC/HFM (useful, not required)
  • Experience writing technical memorandums (useful, not required)
  • Familiarity with international tax concepts such as withholding taxes and transfer pricing (useful, not required)
