Define and evolve the architectural vision for customer-facing systems in alignment with business strategy
Lead cross-organization initiatives addressing long-term scale, system boundaries, and foundational capabilities
Establish patterns and frameworks for quality, resilience, and operational excellence
Serve as the authority on design decisions and foster alignment across teams
Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape product direction
Drive organization-wide adoption of scalable practices, tools, and development norms
Mentor senior technical leaders and elevate engineering capabilities
Lead through complexity and ambiguity, remove organizational blockers, and accelerate strategic initiatives
Translate customer needs and product goals into scalable technical solutions
Design systems and team boundaries for sustainable growth
Drive investment in observability, migrations, and reliability early in the design process

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong record of group-level technical leadership
Experience with Kotlin, Java, or Go
Deep understanding of system design for scale and performance
Experience introducing and scaling shared infrastructure, frameworks, or libraries across multiple teams
Proficiency with CI/CD workflows, including CircleCI and GitHub
Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience with observability tools such as Datadog
Ability to drive architectural clarity and strategic technical alignment across functions
Experience translating customer and clinical needs into reliable, maintainable, high-impact technical solutions
Track record of improving developer experience, team velocity, and system sustainability
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction for any employer
