About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own quality architecture for critical systems and initiatives
Define long-term quality strategy aligned with business and product goals
Design shared quality platforms, automation frameworks, and test infrastructure adopted across multiple teams
Establish scalable quality patterns and guardrails
Anticipate systemic quality and reliability risks and drive preventative architectural solutions
Define and drive AI-assisted testing strategy, including autonomous test generation, intelligent test selection, agent-based failure triage, and self-healing automation
Build guardrails for trustworthy AI-driven testing
Orchestrate AI agents within the CI/CD decision pipeline
Own quality for AI-powered product features through evaluation suites, golden datasets, LLM-as-judge scorers, and statistical approaches
Test hallucination, safety, response stability, and AI-generated application code
Evaluate emerging AI testing tools
Define quality metrics, dashboards, and release-confidence indicators
Lead post-incident analysis and architectural/process improvements
Produce quality architecture documents, automation frameworks, and test platforms
Serve as accountable technical leader for strategic initiatives
Mentor senior SDETs, quality engineers, and senior technical leaders
Establish hiring standards, coaching, and talent development
Champion customer-centric quality decisions
Partner with Engineering and Product leadership on scalability and resilience in roadmap planning

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of hands-on experience in quality engineering or SDET roles
Experience architecting quality strategy and automation platforms across multiple teams
Proven experience designing and scaling full-stack test automation frameworks across frontend web, mobile, and backend/API
Experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, and Postman, or similar
Deep proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Kotlin
Hands-on experience applying AI to testing, including LLM-assisted test generation, agent-based workflows, intelligent test selection, or self-healing automation
Ability to define quality architecture and standards that scale across many teams
Strong grasp of agile/lean, DevOps, shift-left testing, and TDD
Experience embedding quality gates into CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins
Experience mentoring and developing senior quality engineers and senior technical leaders
Track record of leading post-incident and root-cause analysis
Excellent judgment balancing short-term delivery with long-term resilience and maintainability
Strong executive communication skills
Experience with performance and load testing at scale
Familiarity with LLM observability and evaluation tooling is nice to have
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms is nice to have
Familiarity with e-commerce or healthcare platforms and regulated environments is nice to have
Experience with internationalization and localization testing is nice to have
Experience building quality engineering communities of practice is nice to have
Published writing, talks, or open-source work on modern testing or AI in quality engineering is nice to have
Experience building evaluation or testing infrastructure for LLM-based or ML-driven product features is nice to have
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction for any employer
Must not require immigration sponsorship by Hims & Hers in order to work in the U.S.
