About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the product vision and roadmap while owning a prioritised, delivery-ready backlog
- Translate business problems into well-defined epics and user stories with context, acceptance criteria, dependencies and outcomes
- Maintain traceability from request through delivery, acceptance and realised value
- Lead end-to-end delivery planning and coordination across multidisciplinary teams
- Manage milestones, capacity, dependencies, risks, issues, blockers and scope changes
- Provide clear progress and decision information
- Coordinate technical discovery, design assurance, testing and release readiness
- Ensure architecture, security, data governance, non-functional requirements, operational controls and residual risks are addressed
- Connect business priorities with technical execution
- Facilitate decisions and manage delivery partners
- Support transition into BAU
- Promote accountable, collaborative and continuously improving ways of working
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or in a comparable role supporting Product development
- Strong backlog management, user-story and acceptance-criteria capability
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, estimation, planning, dependency and risk management, testing, release readiness and transition into live service
- Working understanding of architecture, integrations, environments, security, data governance and non-functional requirements
- Technical credibility to identify constraints and explain delivery trade-offs
- Strong judgement and outcome focus
- Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills across business, technical and senior audiences
- Ability to lead complex delivery through ambiguity, remove blockers and maintain momentum without compromising quality
- Demonstrable experience leading delivery in a complex organisation
- Experience with accountability for backlog, planning and end-to-end coordination from discovery through release and support
- Track record of influencing across organisational boundaries, resolving complex dependencies and balancing value, risk, technical sustainability and operational readiness
- Product experience, Scrum, Agile delivery, project delivery or similar accreditation
- Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar documentation and collaboration tools
- Knowledge of data platforms, reporting and analytics products, governance, data quality, supplier management or BAU product operations
