Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage an insurance P&L and a track record of consistent profitable growth.
  • Existing experience with digital, alternative, and traditional insurance distribution partners.
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with external executive stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Deep knowledge and experience utilizing insurance distribution technologies and go-to-market motions, including agent portals, APIs, MCPs, multi-carrier platforms, embedded iFrame/native UX, and lead generation/call center models.
  • Experience identifying strategic direction and setting plans for execution across distribution partners and channels.
  • Deep understanding of the evolving SME insurance landscape and emerging players, opportunities, and trends.
  • Extensive and proven sales leadership experience.
  • Experience building and setting best-in-class sales activities and practices.
  • Experience coaching and developing a team of business development professionals.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of insurance distribution operations, regulations, and carrier/agency market dynamics.
  • Ability to travel 35% of the time.
  • Proven track record of at least 5–7 years in an insurance sales leadership role.
