About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct technical security audits
Assess current security measures
Prepare reports with recommendations for improvement based on established best practices and personal experience
Develop tailored security strategies and concepts remotely and on site
Advise on cybersecurity topics such as network security, cloud computing, identity and access management (IAM), detection and response (EDR/XDR/SIEM/SOC), and virtualization
Support compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, such as ISO/IEC 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, NIS2, and DORA
Support customers during cyber incidents, with damage mitigation, and in forensic investigations
Support organizations in establishing short-term emergency operations and restoring normal operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of professional experience in administration or IT security, for example at an IT systems provider or in consulting
Interest in technical documentation
Experience operating Linux and Windows systems
Experience with cloud, virtualization, or container technologies, or with network infrastructures
Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and presentation skills in German
Willingness to apply even if you do not meet every requirement and to develop any missing skills on the job
