About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expert technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for complex Hitachi products and systems at customer sites
  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair Hitachi equipment and systems, including hardware and software components
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site using advanced troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools
  • Conduct system upgrades, modifications, and enhancements with minimal disruption to customer operations
  • Provide technical guidance and training to customer personnel
  • Document service activities, including problem descriptions, resolutions, parts used, and time spent
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support teams to escalate complex issues and provide product-improvement feedback
  • Maintain customer satisfaction through professional communication, timely service delivery, and effective problem-solving
  • Follow company safety policies, procedures, and customer site regulations
  • Manage spare-parts inventory and logistics for assigned service regions
  • Participate in on-call rotations and travel extensively to support customer requirements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • More than 5 years of experience in HV sectors of the electrical industry
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies is mandatory
  • Expertise diagnosing and repairing electromechanical systems, control systems, and software applications
  • Experience with Hitachi MACH Control & Protection System is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently in challenging environments and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel frequently, up to 75%
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background screening and, where applicable, additional security checks
