About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, monitor, and coordinate engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, including product design, verification, and validation
- Coordinate project teams across engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with requirements, regulations, standards, budget, schedule, and quality targets
- Prepare project documentation, including technical proposals, engineering plans, and design review reports
- Prepare and maintain the Product Data Sheet during the bid phase
- Ensure submission of System Requirements Specifications for supplier engagement
- Maintain requirements management and the Requirements Traceability Matrix throughout the project lifecycle
- Act as the primary technical interface with the customer and coordinate project documentation delivery
- Manage and conduct internal and customer design reviews
- Monitor and report project progress, performance, technical risks, and opportunities
- Manage project KPIs and open items using defined templates and dashboards
- Liaise with Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Quality, Certification and Safety departments
- Assess the technical impact of customer changes and support the change process
- Manage non-conformances according to internal processes and procedures
- Ensure submission of manuals, documentation, and training to the customer
- Define project certification and validation strategies with relevant managers
- Coordinate testing activities to ensure verification and validation
- Coordinate preparation of documentation required for vehicle homologation
- Ensure engineering changes, project requirements, and configuration are managed throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplines
- Basic knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies
- Good knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to coordinate multiple functional teams across different engineering disciplines throughout complex project lifecycles
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment
- Strong organizational skills, alongside team-working, problem-solving and results-driven mindset
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers
- Ability to work within project teams under minimal supervision
- Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips
- Minimum experience of 1–2 years in the railway sector or complex industrial environments
- Basic knowledge of main railway regulations and standards
- Basic knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool
- Basic knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations
- Basic knowledge of RAMS discipline
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering disciplines
- Basic knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Creo, or Catia
- Preferred knowledge of main vehicle architectures and functions
- Fast learner with willingness to stay up to date with technological developments
- Good business acumen combined with solid technical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or equivalent preferred)
- Knowledge of written and spoken English at least B2 level
