About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS)
- Define and manage internal and external system interfaces throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyze and assess suppliers’ technical documentation
- Prepare and verify system installation and integration drawings/specifications
- Conduct design reviews for assigned onboard systems under Engineering Managers’ and Project Engineers’ supervision
- Prepare Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) and Functional Test Specifications (FTS), including performance tests
- Attend system stand-alone type tests and review type-test reports
- Support onboard integration, performance testing, and validation phases
- Review design documentation with customers and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards, and project constraints
- Prepare documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplines
- Basic knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering disciplines
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and office automation software
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment
- Organizational, team-working, problem-solving, and results-driven skills
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers
- Ability to work within project teams under minimal supervision
- Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the railway sector or complex industrial environments
- Basic knowledge of railway regulations and standards
- Basic knowledge of IBM DOORS
- Basic knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations
- Basic knowledge of RAMS
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Creo, Catia, or similar design software
- Master's Degree in Engineering; Electrical or Electronics disciplines preferred
- Written and spoken English at least B2 level
