About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop the System Performance team and its individual employees
- Manage recruitment, employee training and development initiatives
- Provide strategic direction, leadership, and coordination of the function
- Contribute to the HVDC System Performance Management team and collaborate with managers on system studies
- Plan project staffing and adjust it according to business needs
- Plan short-term and long-term changes in team structure
- Develop team processes and tools
- Prepare the annual budget and manage within budget and resource constraints
- Participate in the entire HVDC design process, from technology development, marketing support and tender work through final design and verification
- Hold personnel responsibility for approximately 15–20 professionals
- Ensure the team is adequately resourced, developed, and equipped, and complies with relevant regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience from HVDC technology or System Performance studies, and/or previous experience as Line Manager or from another leading role, for example Project Manager
- Strong communication, social, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees and management
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of Swedish is a plus
- Ability to work as a true team player
- Ability to work in an analytical and structured manner
- Takes responsibility for work, coworkers, and delivering quality results on time
- Must undergo applicable pre-employment background checks and, for certain roles, additional security screenings may be required
