About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, monitor, and coordinate engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, including product design, verification, and validation
  • Coordinate project teams across different engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with requirements, regulations, standards, budget, schedule, and quality targets
  • Prepare project documentation during bid and execution phases, including technical proposals, engineering plans, and design review reports
  • Prepare and maintain the Product Data Sheet during the bid phase
  • Ensure submission of System Requirements Specifications for supplier engagement
  • Maintain requirements management and the Requirements Traceability Matrix throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as the primary technical interface with the customer and coordinate project documentation delivery
  • Manage and conduct internal and customer design reviews
  • Monitor and report project progress, performance, technical risks, and opportunities
  • Manage and track project KPIs and open items using defined templates and dashboards
  • Liaise with Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Quality, Certification and Safety departments
  • Assess technical impacts of customer changes and support the change process
  • Manage non-conformances according to internal processes and procedures
  • Ensure submission of relevant manuals, documentation, and training to the customer
  • Define project certification and validation strategies with relevant managers
  • Coordinate testing activities to ensure verification and validation
  • Support homologation by coordinating documentation required for vehicle approval
  • Ensure engineering changes, project requirements, and project configuration are properly managed throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environments
  • Good knowledge of main railway regulations and standards
  • Good knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool
  • Good knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations
  • Good knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplines
  • Good knowledge of RAMS principles and processes
  • Good knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies
  • Good knowledge of main vehicle architectures and functions
  • Good knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering disciplines
  • Good knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to coordinate multiple functional teams across different engineering disciplines throughout complex project lifecycles
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environment
  • Strong organizational skills, alongside team-working, problem-solving and results-driven mindset
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers
  • Ability to work within project teams under minimal supervision
  • Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips
  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Creo, and Catia (desired)
  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or equivalent preferred)
  • Knowledge of written and spoken English at least B2 level
