Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage high voltage service projects from initiation through completion for Hitachi Energy customers
  • Develop and execute project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and quality requirements
  • Coordinate engineers, technicians, and subcontractors
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, provide progress updates, manage expectations, and address concerns
  • Monitor project delivery and progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and meet financial targets
  • Maintain project quality and compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and applicable regulations and procedures
  • Prepare and present progress reports, stakeholder updates, and final project documentation
  • Conduct post-project reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience focused on high voltage power systems, substations, or transmission and distribution networks
  • Successful delivery of complex technical projects on time and within budget
  • Knowledge of high voltage equipment, safety standards, and industry practices
  • Proficiency with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
  • Proficiency with standard office applications
  • Ability to manage diverse teams and customer relationships through effective communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and sound project management
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required
  • PMP or an equivalent project management certification is preferred
