About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review logistics service providers' method statements and resolve inadequacies before dispatch.
- Ensure operational compliance during delivery through desktop assessments of loading, lashings, and certificates.
- Address inadequacies and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Train logistics service providers and internal stakeholders on Risk Control Notification process requirements.
- Support the Heavy Lift logistics sourcing team by reviewing and providing feedback on technical concepts during the Request for Information phase.
- Evaluate logistics service providers' performance in Risk Control Notification process compliance.
- Monitor adherence to safety and compliance standards throughout transportation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and logistics providers to optimize heavy lift logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of transportation methods and logistics best practices for heavy lift shipments.
- Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills for managing diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data into actionable insights, identify critical issues, and challenge assumptions.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Compliance with applicable employment, data protection, and background-screening laws and processes.
