About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve revenue and earnings targets for assigned sales accounts
- Develop sales forecasts, plans, and strategies for future business
- Oversee sales, service, and technical support for all product lines
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales growth and new product introductions
- Document and report customer requirements and information from customer meetings
- Introduce new Hitachi products and develop sales plans
- Grow and maintain strategically important management- and executive-level customer relationships
- Represent the company to customers and customers to the company
- Attend account meetings and present or demonstrate technology to address customer needs
- Coordinate internal communications and actions to secure sales and resolve customer difficulties
- Forecast accurately and achieve budget objectives
- Use Salesforce.com daily to maintain account, call, quote, lead, and expense records
- Exhibit professionalism, leadership, and a positive attitude
- Comply with company policies and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related Scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- US Citizenship required due to customer contract regulations
- Must have and retain a valid driver’s license in the resident state
- Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider
- Five years’ experience in analytical science/chemistry or material analysis preferred
- Experience in sales and account management
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite, and Shared Calendar
- Demonstrated experience in large account management, including growing the business and problem solving
- Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling capital equipment products
- Knowledge of marketing strategy, sales techniques, and sales database systems
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with no supervision
- Ability to multitask and follow through on assigned tasks
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Ability to drive a car
- Must comply with corporate safety requirements and directives
- Expected to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
- Must follow equipment-specific safety protocols
