About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools
  • Coordinate and manage planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions
  • Monitor schedule performance through earned value management and forecasting techniques
  • Integrate cost and schedule information to support comprehensive project reporting
  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation actions
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather progress information and maintain accurate project updates
  • Prepare dashboards, schedule metrics, and executive-level reports for project stakeholders
  • Support change management activities and claims evaluation through time impact assessments
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in project planning and project controls
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 project scheduling software
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Deltek Acumen
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Analysis (EVA), and schedule risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience managing schedules for large and complex projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, customers, and stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Experience presenting project status, forecasts, and planning information to management and project stakeholders
  • Successful completion of applicable pre-employment background and security checks
