About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure compliance with HSE and Quality rules, and safeguard the safety of people, equipment, and installations.
- Prepare and organize worksites, including technical documentation, tooling procurement, schedules, and completion of all prerequisites.
- Carry out and supervise the installation, assembly, electrical and mechanical testing, commissioning, oil treatment, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage equipment.
- Serve as the primary customer contact and coordinate internal teams and subcontractors on site.
- Manage execution costs and schedules and ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
- Monitor work compliance with quality procedures and standards.
- Conduct technical inspections, failure analyses, and diagnostics.
- Prepare technical reports and ensure intervention traceability.
- Implement continuous improvements, resolve technical issues, and contribute to lessons learned.
- Work across the Service portfolio, with a primary specialization in high-voltage transformers or circuit breakers.
- Represent Hitachi Energy technically in the field and ensure the proper execution of service interventions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum two-year post-secondary technical qualification (BTS, DUT, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience managing installation, commissioning, maintenance, or replacement projects involving medium- and high-voltage equipment, particularly circuit breakers and/or transformers.
- Experience in the energy, power transmission and distribution, industrial, or nuclear sectors.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Good technical and professional English skills (A2/B1 level minimum preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, team coordination, and site management skills.
- Self-motivated, thorough, customer-focused, and able to work in demanding environments.
- Participation in on-call rotations.
- Frequent travel throughout the country.
- Occasional international travel.
