About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the global development and enhancement of the PDB-Tool to meet user needs and company goals
Oversee the tool’s architecture, coding adherence, and roadmap
Prioritize development tasks and manage the product backlog
Liaise with local PDB users and development teams to align development and extend the tool into additional product lines
Define and maintain the tool’s architecture and roadmap in alignment with the Business Unit’s PDB Roadmap
Analyze detailed business, functional, and technical requirements and application specifications
Code internally developed applications and configure COTS applications using programming, scripting, and database languages
Support application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities
Correct programming errors, respond to scope changes, and code application enhancements
Oversee code quality through reviews, testing, and performance monitoring
Ensure scalable, adaptable solutions that meet evolving company requirements
Incorporate user feedback to improve usability and functionality
Facilitate communication between users and developers
Provide last-level support, maintain documentation, and deliver training and release notes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven ability to engage and manage diverse stakeholders effectively
Capable of managing resources and assessing risks in complex projects
Familiarity with engineering and software development processes
Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Proficient in C# with experience in building robust applications
Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Solid understanding of software architecture, code review, and quality assurance practices
Familiarity with secure coding standards and industry best practices
Effective in task prioritization, user collaboration, training, and documentation
Ability to lead tool development teams and provide technical guidance
Strategic thinking and commitment to continuous improvement
