About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS)
- Define and manage internal and external system interfaces throughout the project lifecycle
- Analyze and assess technical documentation from suppliers
- Prepare and verify system installation/integration drawings and specifications
- Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers for assigned onboard systems
- Prepare Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS) and Functional Test Specifications (FTS), including performance tests
- Attend system stand-alone type tests and review type-test reports
- Support onboard integration, performance testing, and validation phases
- Review design documentation with customers and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with input requirements, international railway regulations and standards, and project constraints
- Prepare documentation required for vehicle approval and support the homologation phase
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of experience in the railway sector or complex industrial environments
- Good knowledge of main railway regulations and standards
- Good knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management tool
- Good knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations
- Good knowledge of systems engineering and requirements management disciplines
- Good knowledge of RAMS principles and processes
- Good knowledge of design verification and validation methodologies
- Good knowledge of electrical/mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Creo, or Catia
- Good knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering disciplines
- Good knowledge of office automation software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, international, and multicultural environment
- Organizational, teamwork, problem-solving, and results-driven skills
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers
- Ability to work within project teams under minimal supervision
- Availability for occasional short-term national and international business trips
- Master's Degree in Engineering; Electrical or Electronics disciplines preferred
- Written and spoken English knowledge at least at B2 level
