About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Account Managers and Sales to identify, shape and qualify new business opportunities within energy-sector accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with client technical and business stakeholders
  • Lead technical discovery workshops to understand client challenges, systems landscape and business drivers
  • Translate client needs into solution concepts and value propositions
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, solution architecture documents and pricing estimates
  • Own end-to-end technical delivery of won opportunities from sales transition through execution
  • Define solution architecture and delivery approach across cloud engineering, application engineering, DevSecOps, managed services and data engineering workstreams
  • Lead cross-functional delivery teams to plan, execute and deliver projects on time, on budget and to scope
  • Manage delivery risk, scope, dependencies and stakeholder expectations
  • Ensure solutions align with energy-industry standards, regulatory requirements and system integration best practices
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact during delivery, managing escalations and change requests
  • Help define Managed Services operating models, SLAs and transition to steady-state support
  • Identify expansion and follow-on opportunities within existing accounts
  • Contribute to account plans and long-term technical roadmaps
  • Mentor junior delivery and pre-sales staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years in technical delivery, solution architecture or systems integration roles
  • At least 4+ years focused on the energy industry (production, transmission & distribution, or grid operations)
  • Proven experience supporting or leading pre-sales activity, including scoping, proposal writing, and solution estimation
  • Track record leading complex, multi-workstream delivery projects spanning cloud engineering, application engineering, DevSecOps and/or data engineering, from kickoff to go-live
  • Hands-on or delivery-leadership experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
  • Working knowledge of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, data lakes/warehouses, and operational/IoT data integration
  • Knowledge of energy-industry systems such as SCADA/ADMS, EAM/CMMS, GIS or metering/AMI
  • Strong understanding of system integration methodologies, APIs, middleware and enterprise architecture patterns
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, engaging client executives and technical teams
  • Experience managing delivery teams, budgets and, where relevant, Managed Services/support operating models
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with energy-sector platforms/vendors such as Oracle Utilities, SAP for Utilities, OSIsoft/AVEVA PI, Schneider Electric, GE, Siemens, and ESRI GIS
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitOps, container security, and observability stacks
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory/Synapse, AWS Glue/Redshift applied to operational or IoT/telemetry data
  • PMP, TOGAF, ITIL, or AWS/Azure/GCP cloud architect certifications
  • Exposure to grid modernization, DERMS, renewables integration or energy-transition initiatives
  • Established network of contacts within the energy industry
