Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software development teams, including architects, engineers, and quality assurance specialists
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of large-scale software solutions
Ensure adherence to architectural principles, best practices, and Hitachi's global standards
Drive technical innovation and continuous improvement within teams
Explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance product capabilities and development efficiency
Collaborate with product management, project managers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and scope projects
Deliver solutions that meet business needs
Conduct code reviews, architectural reviews, and technical assessments
Manage technical risks, identify roadblocks, and develop mitigation strategies
Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment and promote knowledge sharing and professional growth
Act as a technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for product lines and technical initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software development, with at least 3-5 years in a technical leadership or architect role
Strong expertise in modern software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum, and best practices
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies, including Java, Python, C++, AWS/Azure/GCP, microservices architecture, and big data technologies
Experience leading and mentoring technical teams, including offshore or distributed teams
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English
Ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Experience with global enterprise software development is highly desirable
