About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical professionals
Define technical roadmaps, architectural strategies, and best practices for complex systems and products
Oversee the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering and design through implementation, testing, and deployment
Drive technical innovation and assess new technologies for Hitachi’s product portfolio
Ensure solution scalability, reliability, security, and performance
Collaborate with product management, project management, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Conduct technical reviews and code inspections and provide feedback to team members
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery
Foster continuous learning, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing
Represent Hitachi’s technical capabilities to internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
More than 10 years of experience in software development, Network Control Systems, EMS (Energy Management Systems), GMS (Grid Management Systems), SCADA, or related technologies
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in technical leadership or people management roles
Solid experience designing, developing, and deploying large-scale, complex software solutions
Advanced English proficiency
Strong knowledge of modern software architectures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and Agile/DevOps methodologies
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Go
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills
Experience with project management practices and leading cross-functional teams
