About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the employee lifecycle and company brand
  • Run onboarding and offboarding end to end, including paperwork, background checks, I-9, system access, benefits termination, and COBRA
  • Administer the PTO system, including weekly PTO reporting and manager backup coverage for planned and unscheduled leave
  • Recruit and retain talent by posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and maintaining position descriptions
  • Draft and deliver performance improvement plans and written and verbal warnings as the company's neutral liaison
  • Develop SOPs and retention practices to improve employee performance and tenure
  • Manage the company website, including employee bios, photos, managed property list, and departure updates
  • Support new business with leads, proposals, and pitches
  • Plan community outreach, the volunteer program, and employee morale events
  • Work directly with managers across teams to maintain coverage, morale, and retention

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations
  • Experience administering PTO, COBRA, 401k, and health benefits
  • I-9 and new hire compliance knowledge
  • Experience drafting PIPs, warnings, and position descriptions
  • Experience with Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
  • Marketing experience: website content, proposals, or event planning
  • Strong written and verbal English communication
  • Community association or multi-family property management experience (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with Vantaca and HappyCo (nice to have)
  • Experience managing a company website CMS (nice to have)
