About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the end-to-end performance and reliability of Holafly’s global mobile network
  • Define and execute the network quality roadmap across 200+ global destinations
  • Establish market-leading network performance benchmarks
  • Implement advanced monitoring systems for GTP, LTE, and 4G/5G metrics
  • Architect and deploy intelligent telemetry across core roaming 4G/5G signaling, user-plane, and radio traffic
  • Collaborate with Strategy teams to integrate AI-powered diagnostics and self-healing infrastructure
  • Build GenAI-powered diagnostic agents and automated Root Cause Analysis pipelines
  • Parse signaling logs, isolate fault domains, and generate post-incident technical summaries
  • Develop automated playbooks and programmatic triggers for carrier outage mitigation
  • Conduct technical audits across international MNO, MVNE, and IPX interconnects
  • Drive key performance indicators into partner and internal systems to monitor and meet SLAs
  • Define and evolve the Holafly Network Quality Index across attach success, latency, throughput, and coverage
  • Connect network telemetry with user experience KPIs, retention figures, and customer sentiment metrics
  • Translate signaling telemetry into technical priorities and mentor the operations team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years in mobile network architecture across MNO, MVNO, or MVNE environments
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Deep core network and roaming protocol mastery across EPC and 5GC architectures, including MME, PGW, AMF, and UPF
  • Mastery of roaming protocols including S6a, GTP-C/U, Diameter, Gx/Gy, and HTTP/2 SBA
  • Hands-on expertise in capacity engineering and telemetry analysis tools such as Wireshark, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Track record with virtualized core platforms and cloud-native mobile ecosystem integrations
  • Exceptional technical communication
  • Proven experience writing robust scripts/tools, interacting with RESTful APIs, and automating complex workflows
  • Hands-on exposure applying Machine Learning or GenAI to telecommunications
  • Strong hands-on expertise building dashboards, alarms, and data pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch, or Datadog
  • Ability to translate complex technical signaling data into actionable commercial levers, strategic roadmaps, and automated operational toolsets
  • Nice to have: hands-on experience with eSIM architecture, GSMA RSP standards, SM-DP+, or cloud deployment with Kubernetes, AWS/GCP
  • Nice to have: professional fluency in Spanish for vendor collaboration
